During a small children's shadow play, the lamp tilts and the leading puppet disappears from the screen. Its rod still moves behind the cloth, but only part of one foot appears. The children wait. Stopping to repair the stand would break the world already forming in front of them.

The performer continues in the character's voice and says magical dust has made it invisible. Other puppets begin searching while the children call out possible hiding places. The technical failure becomes an unwritten chapter, and the audience helps create every turn inside it.

After the show, the children draw the missing figure in different shapes. Nobody saw it during the scene, so each person owns a private version. What vanished from the screen did not leave the story. It gained room inside the imagination of the audience, larger than one fixed shadow would have occupied.
